10th Anniversary Photo Contest
Due to a limited response to the JOIN HANDS DAY 10th Anniversary Photo Contest, the contest will be continued to next year. All photos entered to date will be retained and considered in next year’s contest.
Show off your photography skills and community spirit by entering a photo of your project. Entrants are asked to e-mail photos to photocontest@joinhandsday.org by June 1. Photos will be uploaded into the JHD Photo Contest Gallery, and identified with the entrant’s title for the work (please use a title other than JHD 2010) and identified by city and state.
All ages are welcome! No more than three entries per person; one photo per e-mail. The entry must be the work of the person submitting it. Submission deadline is June 1.
Categories
Approved photos will be posted in one of the four following categories:
Human Interest: The winning photo will best capture the joy of volunteering or making a cross-generational connection on the faces of the participants.
Story Telling: One picture is worth a thousand words. The challenge will be to tell the viewer what the project goal was.
Creativity: This artistic award will go to the photo that shows the symbolism of Joining Hands to Touch Lives.
Fan Favorite: Ten photos will be selected and displayed in a gallery for public voting. Votes will be received at photocontest@joinhandsday.org with “Fan Favorite” in the subject line. One vote per e-mail address will be allowed. Deadline to vote is July 15.
From these four categories, judges will select a BEST IN SHOW as the overall winner.
